Here are the rules!

Unwrap a Project.png

For the challenge you'll choose 2 words from the following list and make either an original toy or game that incorporates those two words. Original can mean anything from a new spin on a classic or something never before seen. How you interpret "original" is up to you.

Simple enough, right?

The list:

1. Decorous
2. Orange
3. Charming
4. Scintillating
5. Sloppy
6. Alike

Submissions can be made via Email at

For submissions please include the following:

  • 2 or more pictures of the toy or game itself so that we can understand the design.

  • In lieu of the prior, you may submit a YouTube (or Instagram) video demonstrating the entry or its production. Be sure that the entry, if submitted as a video, is hashtagged #bwmunwrap. Email the link to that video to the above email address to have it count as your entry.

Prizes will include:

  • A bunch of stuff we haven't figured out yet but it'll be good just like last time, we promise.

  • Prizes will be awarded for a winner, a runner up, and a Viewer's Choice which will be decided by participants in the live stream that evening.

Submission Deadline:

Livestream Announcement Show:

March 1, 2021 at 8:00pm Eastern on YouTube.

Ethan and Vincent will determine the winner based on a completely unscientific but fair evaluation of submitted projects that will include functionality, design, how "fun" it is, and the "wow factor." The wow factor is completely subjective, but knocking them on their collective butts will increase the chance of winning. Entries will not be assigned a score and data will not be made public.  The hosts reserve the right to seek advice outside of themselves to help arrive at their decision.

Usual legal type stuff:

  • One entry per person only (couple duos may submit 1 per person)

  • Hosts and their families are not eligible.

  • Sponsors of the podcast and their families and dependents are eligible.

  • The deadline is firm.

  • Late submissions will be ignored.

  • Because We Make is not responsible for misdirected emails.

  • Prizes will be distributed digitally where possible and via USPS, UPS, or Fedex when applicable.

  • Decisions are final.

Good luck, everyone!

Ethan and Vincent
